New Technical Director

It is my pleasure to advise that Rob Hoffman will be joining QCVC as the new Technical Director for our 2016/17 season.

Rob shares the passion and dedication that Queen City Volleyball was founded upon 11 years ago, and will be very exciting to have him work with all of our head coaches with development, athlete development, education, and certification.

Please join me in welcoming Rob in this new position and I look forward to an exciting 2016/17 season!

Beach Volleyball

QCVC is pleased to open registration for the 14-18U 2016 Beach Volleyball Season!

We will be offering a developmental and competitive beach program this year.

Our Developmental will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 at the U of R Beach Courts starting June 7-28 inclusive.  Cost is $85.00 and includes an athletic tanktop.  Limited to 20 players.

The Competitive Beach Program is something new we are trying this year to encourage Beach volleyball in Regina.  Athletes will participate at the same time as the Developmental program for the month of June and will branch off their competitive season with a tournament at Regina Beach on July 1 and finish with Provincials on August 6 & 7 in Regina.  After June, athletes will practice one night a week on Wednesdays at the U of R Beach Courts from 6-8. More information will follow.

We are very privileged to have Jakaeden Frizzell  who is a Level 2 Beach Volleyball Coach, working on his Level 3 and many years of Beach Volleyball experience to work with our girls.

Cost is $200 and will include tournaments, insurance, court time, and uniform (to be discussed at our first parent meeting).

Our Registration system will be individual registrations, but please add in the notes/comments in PowerUp if your daughter has a friend that she wants to join her as a team.  Both players need to identify each other to form a team.  Individuals who also want to join the competitive league will have an opportunity to pair up with another athlete as long as we have even numbers.

Doris' Farewell

2015 was the 10th Anniversary of QCVC and my 10th and last season as the co-founder and leader of the club and I couldn't be more proud of what we've accomplished this year.  I'd like to take a few minutes to reflect on the highlights of the club since we started 10 seasons ago.

Although I've been here the longest, it really is Geronda Schaeffer who is to be credited with the inception of our club... read more

Provincial Champions!

14u

The 14U Regina QCVC Royal Elite overcame a setback early in the weekend to claim Provincial Gold Sunday on Shaw TV, winning the final 25-21, 25-19 over the Wakaw Warriors.  The Royal Elite, number two seed in the tournament, lost a pool play match to the Saskatoon Huskies VC Green on Saturday, but reeled off four subsequent wins, including a playoff victory over the number one seed Prince Albert Optimist Toppers En Fuego.

15u

The 15U Regina QCVC Royal Elite claimed Tier 1 Gold Sunday on Shaw TV, winning the final 25-10, 24-26, 15-5 over the Saskatoon Smash.  The Royal Elite came in as the number one seed in the tournament, and Head Coach Rob Hoffman said it took the entire lineup to keep their status and win a Provincial title.  “It was a full team effort all weekend,” said Hoffman, “We played all twelve athletes all the way through.  We went to three sets so many times all season, but the girls fought through and really deserve this as a group”.
