14U-18U Elite Program

Evaluations

Evaluation dates TBD

Please ensure you read the information below before applying.

These teams will be QCVC’s High Performance teams, and will be comprised of the top athletes in each of those age categories. As the talent and competition grow in the province, QCVC feels that this is the right time to add these new high performance teams. They will also fall in line with SaskVolleyball’s addition of the “Performance league”, and will allow us to meet the SVA guidelines for this new league.

The Elite teams will be supplied with practices 3 times per week, along with off court training that will include sport specific nutrition, conditioning and mental training throughout the season (these components are mandatory). The expectations of the athletes for these teams will be extremely high. If an athlete cannot make the commitment to attend all the mandatory requirements, they should consider looking at our Royal Program teams. Expectations include (but are not limited to):

  • attend all SaskCups
  • attend Nationals in May

Athletes should register for the appropriate age category based on birthday (QCVC will be monitoring registrations to ensure athletes are registering in the correct age category):

  • 14U: Sept 1/2011 and Dec 31/2012
  • 15U: Sept 1/2010 and Dec 31/2011
  • 16U: Sept 1/2009 and Dec 31/2010
  • 17U: Sept 1/2008 and Dec 31/2009
  • 18U: Sept 1/2007 and Dec 31/2008
For Athletes born September – December: Volleyball Canada has designated a 16-month span for each age class. As a result, athletes born between the months of September and December who are eligible for two age classes are encouraged to register for the age class they deem most appropriate for themselves. If you would like to be considered for both age categories you must register for both.

**All tryouts will be held at the QCVC Complex 1802B Stock Road**

  • Club fees for the 2025-2026 Elite teams are estimated to be $2500 (exact fee TBD) and are subject to change.
  • Initial payment of $500 is due upon acceptance of roster spot and is non-refundable.
  • Please note- club fees do not include any coach/travel/meal/team fees.
  • Club season begins end of November and runs until May (when Nationals are held).

Tryout Process

Tryouts start typically in the beginning of October, once SVA opens the tryout period. This process can typically take a couple of weeks. There will be a fee when registering for evaluations. QCVC will not accept athletes without prior registration. Walk-ups will not be accepted.

Each age division will have a separate tryout time. Please ensure you register for the appropriate time for your age group.

For the Elite program: A selection committee will review all applications to the elite program and decide who will be invited. Those invited to the tryout will be notified of the date/time of the tryout.

***QCVC requires athletes to register for tryouts in their correct age class***

QCVC encourages athletes to compete in their proper age class to ensure adherence to the LTAD model and the QCVC curriculum. In special cases, the club may choose to offer a roster spot to an underage athlete (ex: a 16u athlete is offered a roster spot on the 17u team). The club will initiate this process with the athlete at tryouts, after discussion between QCVC head coaches of the involved age classes.
