Jaida Smith
Hey everyone! I have been involved with volleyball since I was 10 years old. I started playing club volleyball in 2018 with Yorkton Blitz Volleyball Club. I played from 14U-18U, and I ended my career by aging out. My whole life I played middle blocker as I was always the tallest on my team. Most of my knowledge is with Middle Blockers as well as Outside Hitters. My team was planning to attend nationals in 2020, but sadly, due to COVID, we never attended. Over COVID, I was stuck in isolation, working on my setting every day in my bedroom. Eventually, when things started to open up, my coach hosted weekly skill-building camps where I would attend. At the end of my career, I knew I wanted to coach. My coach had such a huge impact on me. I started by coaching elementary volleyball, working with students to build basic skills for two years in Yorkton while taking online university classes. I then moved to Regina to continue my university career and got into coaching with QCVC. I am in my third year of early years education and want to become a kindergarten teacher! If you would like to book a one-on-one session with me, you can contact me: at (306) 621-1618 or email jaidaleigh5@gmail.com
